Call for Papers: Journal of Intangible Cultural Heritage Studies

Lanzhou University of Arts and Science and the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in China invite scholars worldwide to contribute to the Journal of Intangible Cultural Heritage Studies. This annual peer-reviewed journal, aligned with UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and China’s ICH policies, now welcomes submissions in both Chinese and English, fostering global dialogue on safeguarding intangible heritage.

- Yellow River ICH stduies
- ICH policy, preservation, and transmission
- Oral histories of heritage bearers
- Cross-disciplinary and comparative methodologies
Submission Guidelines
- Original, unpublished manuscripts (8,000–12,000 words) in Chinese or English.
- Include author bio, 200-word abstract (in the submission language), 3–5 keywords, and funding details.
- Standardized citations (footnotes/endnotes) for all sources.
- High-resolution images must be submitted separately.
- No deadline
Deadline & Compensation
- No submission fees. Competitive remuneration offered (up to 4,000 RMB for senior scholars).
- Review period: 3 months. Accepted authors receive two journal copies.
