Information Sharing

ICHCAP aims to promote intangible cultural heritage (ICH) safeguarding activities of individuals, communities, organizations, institutions, and countries through management and effective sharing of information and cultural data focusing on ICH.

To this end, we have established an information management and sharing system in the Asia-Pacific region, consolidating efforts to effectively disseminate information produced and possessed by various stakeholders, including ICHCAP. In addition, the following programs are being conducted to strengthen the capacity of related agencies to prepare and disseminate information.

The organization collaborates with member countries, communities, NGOs, and experts to shed light on living heritage transmission sites. As of 2023, ICHCAP has obtained 50 intangible cultural heritage video contents from Central Asia and 70 from Southeast Asia. They are currently in progress to produce content for four countries in South Asia. The produced videos are showcased through domestic and international broadcasters and film festivals. Simultaneously, they are made available to the public through various online channels like YouTube.
