On 24 March 2021, members of UNESCO-ICHCAP and the KF Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat met to discuss further cooperative work between the two organizations. There were a couple of presentations by each of the organizations. One focused on the upcoming 2021 Silk Roads ICH Networking Program, and the other mainly focused on the Nowruz events being held in Seoul.

The meeting included eight members of the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat and four members from ICHCAP. During the question and answer section of the meeting, the two parties were able to discuss ways of advancing with the Silk Roads program, and one of the members of the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat will serve as an observer during the four Silk Roads preparatory committee meetings that will begin on 30 March.

Overall, the meeting was informative and useful as our organizations move forward with the Silk Roads ICH Networking Program. The two organizations plan to keep close communication as the program develops, and we look forward to additional cooperation with the inaugural events of the Silk Roads Networking Program and other cooperative work in 2021.
