Call for Applications to Support Digitizing ICH-related Analogue Audiovisual Materials

The International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP) is undertaking an open call for applications to find a partner organization to participate in a project to digitize ICH-related analogue audiovisual materials in 2019.

The aim of the project is to digitize ICH-related analogue audiovisual materials as a way to enhance the preservation, management, and accessibility. The target materials should have preservation value but also be at risk of damage. ICHCAP has been promoting and sharing digital audiovisual materials since 2011 through this project. For 2019, ICHCAP would like to select one organization as a partner to implement the project.

Organizations wishing to participate in the project should fill out the application forms in the attachment and submit them by e-mail (digitization.ichcap@gmail.com) by 19 April 2019. The application submission should include the following

  • Application form
  • List of target materials to be digitized (must have at least 350 hours)
  • Recommendation letter (Ministry of Culture, National Commission of UNESCO, or other appropriate authority to ensure reliability and work ability)

The selected organizations will be notified via e-mail by 30 April, and the result will also be posted on our website.

The partner organization will digitize the target materials from May to December 2019, and ICHCAP will provide financial support and technical guidelines as well as expert advice on digitization.
